Crozer Chester Medical Center in Delaware County could be reopened

UPLAND, Pa. (WPVI) -- There is now a proposed plan to reopen the shuttered Crozer Chester Medical Center in Upland, Pa.

State Representative Leanne Krueger, who serves Delaware County, says the hospital is being acquired by a California hedge fund.

She adds that the new owners plan to restore hospital and emergency services through a phased approach.

There's no exact timing on when the hospital could reopen.

The hospital shut down back in May after Prospect Medical Holdings went bankrupt.
