Delaware County man arrested for allegedly threatening Governor Josh Shapiro

BROOKHAVEN, Pa. (WPVI) -- A Delaware County man, accused of threatening Governor Josh Shapiro, is facing charges.

Police arrested 65-year-old John Franklin on Wednesday at his home in Brookhaven.

Authorities say on Tuesday, Franklin used an antisemitic slur and threatened to set the Governor's Residence on fire while he visiting the Brookhaven office of State Representative Leanne Krueger.

This comes after Governor Shapiro and his family escaped an arson attack last year.

Franklin faces several charges including terroristic threats and harassment.

He's due in court next week.
