DOVER, Del. (WPVI) -- Delaware State University head football coach and former Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson has been named in a lawsuit accusing one of his players of assault.

The lawsuit was filed on behalf of another Delaware State University football player and stems from an alleged locker room incident on Nov. 19, 2025.

According to the court filing, the plaintiff was placed in a chokehold by a teammate until he lost consciousness and fell to the floor.

The lawsuit says the fall caused severe and permanent injuries, including multiple jaw fractures, a deep chin laceration, a severed tongue ligament and irreparable damage to at least a dozen teeth.

The suit alleges Jackson failed to discipline the player accused of the attack. It also claims Jackson demonstrated a lack of proper supervision and team leadership, which allowed violent behavior to occur within the football program.

Action News reached out to Delaware State University for comment, but we have not heard back.
