LOS ANGELES -- What better way to celebrate 626 Day than with a return to Hawaii?

Today, Disney officially announced an all-new animated short, "Lilo & Scratch," debuting exclusively in theaters this November alongside Disney's upcoming feature film, "Hexed."

This marks a massive milestone for the franchise, bringing Stitch back to a Disney Animation project for the first time since the original 2002 classic "Lilo & Stitch."

At Annecy, Fans got an early look at the short, which bridges generations of the franchise by uniting its voice casts. Chris Sanders returns as the voice of Stitch, while Maia Kealoha steps back into her role as Lilo following the 2025 live-action adaptation.

In this new adventure, Stitch may have finally met his match. Lilo introduces a mischievous and mysterious cat named Scratch as the newest member of their 'ohana. However, when Lilo leaves Stitch in charge to run some errands, the chaotic little creature unleashes a wave of total destruction.

To honor the franchise's roots, the short will stay authentic to the look and style of the 2002 original. The filmmakers are using a technique that combines hand-drawn and CG animation over watercolor backgrounds.

You can catch all the chaos this fall! "Lilo & Scratch" will screen exclusively before "Hexed" when the film hits theaters November 25.

Disney is the parent company of Walt Disney Animation Studios and this ABC station.
