Dollar General to pay Pa. $1.5M for allegedly overcharging customers

Dollar General will have to pay Pennsylvania more than $1 million for allegedly overcharging customers.

According to Attorney General Dave Sunday, Dollar General stores failed more than 40% of pricing accuracy inspections between 2019 and 2023.

Dollar General tells Action News it urges employees to immediately correct discrepancies when they happen.

As part of the settlement, the company will pay $1.55 million in fines, along with penalties.

Dollar General has also agreed to improve price labeling.
