Drexel Hill man killed after falling off ladder

DREXEL HILL, Pa. (WPVI) -- A freak fall claimed the life of a Delaware County man.

It happened Monday night on the 5200 block of Reservation Road in Drexel Hill.

Police say a 52-year-old man was cutting down a large tree in his front yard when the ladder apparently gave way, sending the man into the tree and then several feet to the ground below.

He was pronounced dead just before 10:00 p.m. at Crozer Chester Medical Center.
