Driver killed after car crashes into row home in Logan
One person was killed in a crash late Thursday night in the Logan section of Philadelphia.

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A woman was killed after the SUV she was driving slammed into a row home late Thursday night in the Logan section of Philadelphia.

The driver was identified as city resident Dominique Truitt, 32.

The crash happened just before midnight.

According to police, Truitt was driving southbound on the 6200 block of Broad Street from Chelten Ave. when, for an unknown reason, she made a hard left turn and accelerated.

Her 2008 Nissan crashed into the raised front porch of a home in the 6200 block of Broad Street.

Truitt, along with the 32-year-old man and 3-year-child who were riding in the vehicle, were taken to the hospital.

Truitt passed away about an hour later. The passengers are hospitalized in stable condition.

Licenses and Inspections were called to the scene to inspect the property.

An investigation into this crash continues.
