Eagles fans walk 22 miles from Hatboro to Lincoln Financial Field for a good cause

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- It was a road to victory in more ways than one for two dedicated Eagles fans who turned game day into a charitable mission.

Cole Browne, 28, of Hatboro, and Dan Collier, 27, of Warminster, walked 22 miles from Hatboro to Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday to raise money for a local nonprofit that supports individuals and families affected by addiction.

The pair began their journey at 5:19 a.m. in pouring rain, documenting their progress on social media throughout the day.

While they were headed to South Philadelphia to watch the Eagles take on the Washington Commanders, they had another goal in mind.

Browne and Collier used the walk to raise money for the Ardmore-based nonprofit "Be a Part of the Conversation."

The cause is a personal one for Browne, whose brother, Bobby, died from addiction three years ago.

Bobby Browne remained top of mind as the friends made the long trek to the stadium, sharing updates with supporters along the way.

The walk took nine hours and nine minutes to complete. After reaching South Philadelphia, the two still had to make their way into the stadium and stand through the game.

Not only did the Eagles earn a victory, but the friends also raised nearly $4,000 for "Be a Part of the Conversation."

They said their GoFundMe campaign will remain active through the end of the week as they continue supporting the nonprofit's mission.
