EGG HARBOR TWP., N.J. (WPVI) -- Newly released body camera video shows four police officers rushing into a burning home in Egg Harbor Township to rescue a dog.
Heavy flames were pouring from the house on Laguna Drive when officers arrived Monday.
Despite the intense fire, they ran inside and made their way to the second floor, where they found the dog. It took several minutes to corral the animal and escape the home.
Moments after they made it out safely, part of the roof collapsed.
One firefighter suffered a minor injury and was treated at the scene.
The fire is believed to have been caused by a heating unit in the attic.
