Elementary school principal sleeps on roof after students meet fundraising goal

HADDONFIELD, N.J. (WPVI) -- A school principal in South Jersey spent Thursday night under the stars, all thanks to his students.

Elizabeth Haddon Elementary School Principal Jerry Bissinger slept on top of the school overnight.

He told students that if they collected $20,000 during a recent fundraiser, he would set up camp atop the school.

The students raised $21,000.

Bissinger says it got a little chilly during the night, and he had to dodge a few spotty showers.
