Attend happy hour Cocktails & Congress at Carpenters' Hall in Old City, where you can grab a drink and a snack then sit back and listen in to conversations from the First Continental Congress, which met in the very same room in the fall of 1774. The history happy hours are designed to give you a front row seat to the questions that divided the delegates, from the seemingly small matter of who should open the Congress with a prayer to bigger arguments about taxation and representation.

The event runs Thursday evenings from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m., through August 28.

The Wine Garden at The Navy Yard is a new location for an outdoor party concept that started in West Philadelphia in 2019. Co-Owners Nazaret Teclesambe and Favian Sutton are the mother-daughter team who felt that Philadelphia had enough beer gardens, so they created what they wanted, a wine garden.

Every weekend on Saturday or Sunday afternoon, guests can attend a themed event with one ticket that includes unlimited wine drinks, a buffet brunch, and tunes from both a DJ and a musician.

The team likes to get dressed up, so many guests do as well, and the setting includes fresh flower arrangements and selfie-spots.

Hank's Place opened its doors for the first time in nearly 4 years. The previous home of the long-time Chadds Ford eatery was destroyed by flooding from Hurricane Ida in 2021.

Owners Kathryn and Anthony Young rebuilt the restaurant into a beautiful new space that honors the Brandywine Valley and the region's rich art history.

The restaurant is serving it's classic breakfast and lunch specials with plans to open for dinner service later this summer.

Meet three generations of one Fairmount family sharing their Indian culture through a very special condiment. It's called tomato lonsa and the Korde family is now selling it in stores like Whole Foods. They say it's the first and only product from their region of India to be featured there and we're using it in a rich and savory all-day egg dish.

Aaji's Tomato Lonsa Eggs Recipe

Ingredients:

- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 onion, chopped
- 1/4 cup water
- 4 eggs
- 1 container Aaji's tomato lonsa (find it locally HERE)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Parsley and queso fresco to garnish
- Crusty bread for dipping

Directions:

1. Heat the olive oil over medium heat in a lidded pan.
2. Add the onion and sauté 3-5 minutes until it's translucent and soft.
3. Reduce heat to low and add Aaji's Tomato Lonsa and 1/4 cup water. Stir to mix.
4. Using the back of a spoon, make 4 small wells in the Lonsa - one for each egg.
5. Crack eggs into wells.
6. Cover the pan with a lid and cook eggs for 4-8 minutes until they are cooked to your liking.
7. Remove the pan from heat. Season eggs with salt and pepper and garnish with chopped parsley and crumbled queso fresco.

Serve with crusty bread to dip and enjoy!
