Governor Shapiro announces new investment to expand Pennsylvania's workforce, grow the economy

Pennsylvania is looking to create new jobs by increasing access to apprenticeships.

Governor Josh Shapiro made the announcement on Friday morning at the Steamfitters Local 420 site in Northeast Philadelphia.

The state is helping the union expand its training facility.

Officials say this will allow more than 100 additional apprentices to join Pennsylvania's workforce each year.
