Grammy award-winning DJ, Diplo, kicks off 'Run Club' in FDR Park

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The energy was high Saturday morning in FDR Park for "Diplo's Run Club" 5K.

More than 6,000 runners laced up for a race that is also part concert.

Saturday marked the kickoff of the national 5K series put on by Grammy winning DJ and Temple University grad, Diplo.

The event is raising money for local youth organizations.

The race ends with a party and performance from Diplo.

This will be his first large-scale event in Philadelphia in more than six years.
