Gunman shoots man sitting in car in Germantown

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A gunman opened fire on a man sitting in his car in Philadelphia's Germantown section.

It happened along Market Square just after midnight early Tuesday morning.

Police said the 37-year-old victim and his girlfriend were in their car when someone approached the Cadillac and unloaded 14 rounds of gunfire.

The victim was hit once in the cheek and was able to drive a short distance to flag down police.

He is in critical condition.

His girlfriend was unscathed.
