PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Dozens of high school students from Europe joined students at Philadelphia City Hall on Wednesday as part of the Global Youth Exchange program.
100 students from Germany, Poland and Spain are spending time with their counterparts in four different city schools. They will also stay in host families' houses.
Participating schools include Julia R. Masterman School, String Theory Performing Arts High School, Constitution High School and Science Leadership Academy Center City.
The program gives young people a chance to experience new cultures, while expanding their global awareness.
Philadelphia established its "Sister City" relationship with Frankfurt, Germany 10 years ago. A similar relationship was established with Torun, Poland 50 years ago. The city said these partnerships continue to foster meaningful connections.
