Montco goat sanctuary owners charged after deadly fire

WORCESTER TWP., Pa. (WPVI) -- The owners of a Montgomery County goat sanctuary, which was destroyed in a fire, are now facing charges.

According to court documents, Erin and Michael Wiggle are charged with aggravated cruelty to animals of torture and two counts of neglect of animals.

Investigators say prior to the fire, the owners failed to provide veterinary care, and many animals were malnourished.

Dozens of animals unaccounted for after barn fire in Worcester Twp.

The fire at the House of Wiggle Goats farm in Worcester Township happened back in May, killing some 40 animals.

Following the fire, farm owners raised more than $68,000 to help with the recovery.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
