Family thanks community after tragedy on Cinnaminson farm

CINNAMINSON, N.J. (WPVI) -- The family of a South Jersey farmer who died in a machinery accident is speaking about the tragedy.

John Howard Hunter, 77, was killed Sunday at the Hunter's Farm on Union Landing Road in Cinnaminson.

His family says they have been overwhelmed with the outpouring of support from the community.

"We're very grateful to the area farmers that we know... that have reached out to us and that offered to make things easier on us, offered their help," said the victim's son, John.

Hunter's daughter, Amy, says that as farmers, the family is aware that an accident like this could happen at any moment and is trying to come to terms with their loss.

Police have not released further details on the incident.
