After injury, Pa. man finds new purpose with 'The Crippled Pickle'

NEWTOWN, Pennsylvania (WPVI) -- When Michael DeLong experienced a life-changing injury, he was faced with an uncertain future.

No longer able to perform in his profession, he discovered the art of pickling.

"Bound to a wheelchair, but my garden got me back into everything... It gave me a sense of independence... I had a lot of leftover vegetables so I was like, 'You know what?...Maybe I can sell these pickles.'" said Delong.

Now, his product is available for people to purchase at Newtown Hardware House.

"I grew up in this town. I remember coming into this store after school, being able to see my product on the shelf, it shows you how things come full circle," said Delong.
