GLOUCESTER CITY, N.J. (WPVI) -- A man has been arrested for attempted murder after allegedly pouring lighter fluid all over a house and two victims in Gloucester City, New Jersey.

Police responded to a home in the 600 block of Ridgeway Street around 1 a.m. on Thursday.

When officers arrived, officials say the victims were able to escape the house, but the suspect, identified as 39-year-old Eugene Jackson, was still inside.

A perimeter was established, and some nearby residents were evacuated.

Roughly two hours later, Jackson came out of the home and was arrested.

Jackson is being held at the Camden County Department of Corrections, pending a detention hearing.
