Man arrested for allegedly robbing, kidnapping woman at knifepoint in Springfield Twp.

SPRINGFIELD TWP., Pa. (WPVI) -- A man is accused of kidnapping a woman at knifepoint as she took out her trash in Montgomery County.

Police say Michael Gordon targeted the victim on Friday in Springfield Township.

Investigators say he held the victim captive for two hours while he made her drive to an ATM, then drive to Philadelphia to purchase drugs.

The victim was initially too fearful to report the incident, according to police. So an advocate filed the report on her behalf.

Gordon is behind bars at Montgomery County Correctional Facility.

He is charged with robbery, kidnapping, burglary, theft, and related offenses.

Gordon was denied bail due to previous robbery convictions from last year.
