Man dies after being stabbed 15 times in West Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are investigating a deadly stabbing in West Philadelphia.

Authorities say they were called to the area of 49th and Sansom Streets just before 1 a.m. on Monday.

When officers arrived, they found a 27-year-old man suffering from multiple stab wounds.

Investigators say the victim was stabbed 15 times.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

There has been no word on a suspect or possible motive.
