Man ID'd after being found shot in the head inside car in South Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A deadly shooting in South Philadelphia is under investigation.

Officers responded to Ritner Street under the I-95 overpass around 2:30 p.m. Sunday.

They found a 55-year-old man inside of a BMW who had been shot in the head.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

He has been identified as Assem H. Hijazi, according to police.

Police have not made any arrests.

Investigators hope video from nearby security cameras will provide them with some clues.
