CAMDEN, N.J. -- A Lehigh Valley man who stole a police car in Camden, went on a police chase and injured an officer has pleaded guilty.

Camden County prosecutors say 25-year-old Blake Bills of Macungie pleaded guilty Thursday to carjacking and eluding.

The spree began on March 3, 2013. Police say Bills and his companion Shayna Sykes had been on a three-day heroin binge and ultimately stole police cruisers in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Camden Officer Sekou Reid-Bey is still recovering from injuries he sustained when Bills drove directly into him.

Bills is scheduled to be sentenced July 3. Sykes case is still pending trial.
