PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police are investigating after a man was shot in the leg during a robbery in Northeast Philadelphia.
It happened just before 1 a.m. on Tuesday on the 2100 block of Knorr Street.
Officials say a 23-year-old man was getting out of his car to visit a friend when two males wearing gray hooded sweatshirts approached him.
They stole his Rolex watch and tried taking other jewelry from him before firing a shot.
Chief Inspector Scott Smalls says they fled the scene in a gray 4-door sedan, possibly a Nissan.
Police are checking surveillance cameras in the area as they continue their investigation.
The man was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
So far, no arrests have been made.
