Man turns himself in after being accused of killing wife in Germantown

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A man has turned himself in after being accused of murdering his wife, who was found shot to death in Philadelphia's Germantown section.

Kyle Irvin, 55, is accused of shooting and killing 48-year-old Rashida Irvin inside an apartment in the 6300 block of Germantown Avenue last Monday night.

Police were flagged down around 6:35 p.m. by a witness who reported hearing gunshots.

When police entered the location, they found Rashida in the bathroom, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the torso.

She was pronounced dead a short time later.

Police say Kyle turned himself in to police just after midnight on Wednesday.

He is being charged with murder and related offenses.
