Marlton family gives back to the infertility community

SEWELL, New Jersey (WPVI) -- For these Marlton parents, their experience with family building inspired them to help others.

Now in their 9th year, their "Walk of Hope NJ" event fundraises money to help other families in need.

"My husband and I wanted to build a family and we struggled to conceive. We ended up having to go through IVF... stands for in vitro fertilization," said Lynn Polin, Founder of the Walk of Hope NJ.

"Our first round, unfortunately, failed. Our second round was successful. We got pregnant with twins, lost one of our twins. But our 11 year old is here today...And then we went through rounds two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, trying round number ten, And then our...seven year old came," she continued.

They held a run and walk event in Sewell's Washington Lake Park to gather the community.

Their funds will support RESOLVE: The National Infertility and Family Building Association, and Keeping Hope Alive Inc.

"To be able to come together with the community and be able to discuss and talk those things out is a great way to heal together. And that's part of what we're hoping to accomplish with the event," said Drew Polin of Marlton, New Jersey.
