Ambler man facing rape, trafficking charges after being accused of sexually abusing children

AMBLER, Pa. (WPVI) -- A Montgomery County man accused of sexually abusing a child has been arrested a second time after a follow-up investigation.

Deren Thach was arrested at his home in Ambler on Tuesday.

The 38-year-old first turned himself in to police back in March, after authorities say he tried to solicit a young girl for sex and explicit photos last December.

Since that initial arrest, investigators have found eight other child victims.

Thach now faces several charges, including rape and trafficking.

A judge set his bail at $1 million.
