State of Emergency declared for New Jersey farmers after crop damage during April cold snap

New Jersey Governor Mikey Sherrill declared a State of Emergency because of the crop damage from April's cold snap.

The state estimates growers and farmers experienced at least $300 million in crop losses.

Governor Sherrill is requesting a disaster designation from the US Department of Agriculture, hoping for federal relief for farmers across the Garden State.
