New Jersey Department of Corrections welcomes 157 training academy graduates

TRENTON, N.J. (WPVI) -- Tuesday was graduation day for a new class of corrections officers in New Jersey.

Loves ones and fellow officers filled Patriots Theater at the War Memorial in Trenton to recognize Class 259.

The Department of Corrections said all 157 training academy graduates completed 17 weeks of academic and physical tests.

They also spent two weeks training at nine NJDOC facilities across the Garden State.

Each graduate was honored for their hard work and accomplishments.
