

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- An off-duty Philadelphia police officer was critically injured in a shooting early Sunday morning, according to police.
Police say someone flagged down a patrol car to report a shooting in the 7300 block of Elmwood Avenue just before 4a.m. Officers arrived to find two males suffering from gunshot wounds.
One of the victims is an off-duty officer, though officials have not said where he is assigned. He was shot multiple times, including in the chest and is critical.
Both victims were taken to Penn Presbyterian Hospital.
Police found a handgun at the scene, and several spent shell casings.
