Cop struck by driver making illegal turn outside Citizens Bank Park after Phillies game: Sources

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A Philadelphia police officer is recovering at Jefferson Hospital after he was struck by an SUV following the Phillies game Wednesday night.

The officer was directing traffic along Pattison Avenue, outside of Citizens Bank Park in South Philadelphia, when sources say he was hit by a driver who made an illegal turn.

The officer suffered a knee injury.

The driver involved stayed on the scene.

There's no word of any charges being filed.
