WEST WINDSOR TOWNSHIP, New Jersey (WPVI) -- For 50 years, Eden Autism Services has helped those on the autism spectrum develop skills, find meaningful employment, and feel proud of their accomplishments.
Those positive moments are growing in abundance at their garden in West Windsor Township.
Teaching Chef Jasbir Kaur had the seed of an idea back in 2014. Having grown up on a farm in India, Kaur thought that gardening would be a good way to engage those in the adult day program.
Over 10 years later, the garden is growing 12 beds of produce. Adults in the program are able to tend to the garden, harvest food, and even eat it during their lunch.
Watch the video above to see it in action.
