Overnight water main break in Ogontz

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Emergency crews are working to contain a major water main break in the Ogontz neighborhood of the city.

Officials responded to the rupture along the 1800 block of Lindley Avenue just after midnight Sunday.

Crews with the water department were called to the scene, where there are reports of a 12-inch water main break.

Water was rushing into the area.

It's unclear whether homes and businesses have lost service.
