Philadelphia launches new citywide cleaning program

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The city of Philadelphia kicked off its citywide cleaning program Monday.

The program aims to clean every neighborhood through the end of July.

Work began at McPhearson Park in Kensington. Crews tackled quality-of-life issues from trash to graffiti to nuisance properties.

They also launched a new initiative called "Alleygators", giving residents a new way to request alleyway cleaning.
