PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A Philadelphia police officer was injured Wednesday night after being struck by an SUV in South Philadelphia.
The incident happened around 9:15 p.m. in a parking lot outside Citizens Bank Park.
Law enforcement sources tell Action News the officer was directing traffic following the Phillies game when he was hit by a driver.
The officer reportedly suffered a knee injury and is alert and talking, sources added.
Authorities said the driver remained on the scene and is cooperating with investigators.
