Philadelphia Parks and Recreation celebrates the renovation of Charles Baker Recreation Center

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- City leaders celebrated the completion of a renovation project in the Overbrook section of Philadelphia on Thursday.

Parks and Recreation hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the upgraded Baker Recreation Center and Playground along Lansdowne Avenue.

The $2.17 million project, supported by Councilmember Curtis Jones Jr., includes a new multipurpose room, secure entrance, a restored Charles Baker mural, and new playground equipment.
