PLYMOUTH TWP., Pa. (WPVI) -- Members of a town council in Montgomery County accuse the developer of a data center of intimidation and bullying.
The developer recently rejected Plymouth Township council's demands for various safeguards, including noise limits, buffer zones, water and wastewater restrictions and challenged the township's zoning ordinance.
The proposed two-million-square-foot facility would span 10 existing buildings at the recently closed Cleveland Cliffs steel mill on Conshohocken Road.
The developer's attorney has not responded to a request for comment.
A petition opposing the data center has since garnered more than 3,600 signatures.
A hearing on the data center is scheduled for August 6.
