Teen girl taken into custody following fatal stabbing in Roxborough

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A man is dead after being stabbed in Philadelphia's Roxborough section.

It happened just before 10 a.m. Sunday on the 500 block of Wartman Street.

The victim, a 57-year-old man, was found stabbed in the rib area.

Officers immediately transported the victim to Jefferson-Einstein Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

A 16-year-old girl was taken into custody.

Police continue to investigate.
