Police officer, 1 other injured in crash in Northampton County

PLAINFIELD TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WPVI) -- A police officer was injured in a head-on collision in Plainfield Township, Northampton County.

The accident happened just before 1:30 a.m. Sunday.

Both the officer, who was driving a Slate Belt Regional Police car, and the other driver involved in the crash were taken to the hospital.

No word yet on their conditions.

The accident remains under investigation.
