More than 330K drivers ticketed along Broad Street since speed camera enforcement began: PPA report

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Action News got a first look at how many drivers were caught by speed cameras along Broad Street in Philadelphia.

The speed cameras went live in November and monitor drivers at 15 locations along the busy corridor.

Drivers receive a fine starting at $100 for exceeding 11 miles over the posted limit.

The annual report by the Philadelphia Parking Authority looked at violations through March 2026.

It shows more than 330,000 drivers were ticketed along Broad Street since enforcement began.

December saw the peak with more than 95,000 fines.

No drivers were caught exceeding more than 49 miles per hour along the artery, where the main speed limit is 25.

The report also revealed a signage problem in the southbound lanes, near 6500 North Broad. The PPA says it dismissed and issued refunds to drivers who had already paid fines.
