Recipe Philly searching for 30 best local recipes | Here's how to enter

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A first-of-its-kind culinary competition is kicking off Saturday in Philadelphia.

It's part TV docuseries, part Center City restaurant, and at the heart of it, it's everyday home cooks and their best family recipes.

It's called Recipe Philly, and they will start the search for the 30 best local recipes to put on the menu at a restaurant opening at Broad and Arch next spring.

The search for the winning recipes will be filmed as part of a new Philly food docuseries with up to $50,000 in prizes.

It's happening from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.
