School District of Philadelphia changes name of its headquarters

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The School District of Philadelphia renamed its headquarters on North Broad Street.

It is now officially the "Dr. Constance E. Clayton Education Center".

Officials gathered at the district headquarters on Wednesday in the city's Spring Garden section for the ceremony.

There was also a student performance to celebrate the change.

The name pays tribute to the district's first African American female superintendent.
