BORDENTOWN TWP., N.J. (WPVI) -- Two people are dead after a shooting outside a 7-Eleven Valero gas station in Bordentown Township, Burlington County.
It happened around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday in the parking on the 200 block of Route 130, at Farnsworth Avenue.
Police initially responded to the scene for reports of gunshots after a man who had been shot in the parking lot walked inside the store and asked for help.
When officers arrived, they found two victims.
One of the victims, a 22-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other victim, a 21-year-old man, was taken to a nearby hospital and was later pronounced dead.
Their names have not yet been released.
There are several evidence markers around and underneath a red pick-up truck that was left running as police focus a lot of their attention around the vehicle.
It's unclear how the red pick-up is linked to all of this or who it belongs to.
The Burlington County Prosecutor's Office says the suspect fled in a Jeep, which later crashed in Florence Township. That suspect remains at large, according to officials.
"At this stage of the investigation, it is believed that this was not a random attack," the prosecutor's office said.
There has been no word on a motive.
