Search underway after possible human remains found in Newark, Delaware

NEWARK, Del. (WPVI) -- Police in Newark, Delaware are working to identify remains found in the area of Red Mill Farms.

New Castle County police were called to the area Sunday afternoon when a resident reported finding a possible human bone in their rear yard.

For days, investigators have been carefully searching the terrain along Capitol Trail, between Fairway Road and Polly Drummond Hill Road, in an effort to locate additional remains.

The investigation is ongoing.
