Six teenagers arrested after a large group gathers at Christiana Fashion Center

NEWARK, Del. (WPVI) -- Six juveniles were arrested Saturday evening after a large fight involving nearly 100 juveniles broke out in the parking lot of the Christiana Fashion Center, according to Delaware State Police.

Troopers were called to the shopping center around 6:30 p.m. Saturday after multiple reports of juveniles fighting, police said. Officers from several agencies responded and tried to disperse the crowd, but some refused to leave, and additional fights erupted.

A 15-year-old Wilmington boy was charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and third-degree trespassing. Police said he ran from troopers attempting to arrest him and was taken into custody after a Taser was used.

He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and released on an unsecured bond of $1,101.

Three other 15-year-old boys from Wilmington, a 14-year-old Wilmington boy, and a 13-year-old boy from Elkton, Maryland, were each charged with disorderly conduct and third-degree trespassing. They were released on criminal summonses, police said.
