Police respond to barricade situation in Philadelphia's Chinatown section

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- There is a large police presence in Philadelphia's Chinatown section on Thursday.

Police responded to the 900 block of Arch Street around 11:30 a.m. for a male armed with a gun inside the property.

A barricade was declared by police around 12:11 p.m., according to officials.

Chopper 6 was over the scene, where several police vehicles could be seen blocking the street.

A SWAT vehicle could also be seen outside the property.

Police have set up a staging area in the 100 block of 9th Street.
