'Shoreline Pier at the Boardwalk' opens at Six Flags Great Adventure

JACKSON, N.J. (WPVI) -- A new attraction at Six Flags Great Adventure blends classic amusement park fun with the joy of taking a trip to the beach.

"Shoreline Pier at the Boardwalk" is officially open.

The area features new rides, games, and boardwalk food. The immersive experience is meant to make visitors feel like they are enjoying a day at the Jersey Shore.

New Jersey Lieutenant Governor Dale Caldwell joined the opening ceremony for Shoreline Pier, calling it a new tourism asset for the state.
