Suspect arrested in shooting of Temple student

Friday, April 4, 2014

Philadelphia police say they've nabbed a man wanted for the shooting of a Temple University student.

U.S. Marshals helped track down 33-year-old Jermill Edwards on Friday morning.

A warrant was issued for his arrest in late February following a shootout at a birthday party on the 1600 block of Cecil B. Moore.

One of the bullets traveled a block and hit the student.

Edwards will be charged for both the February 23rd shooting and for struggling with police during his arrest Friday.
