USPS Forever stamp prices to increase Sunday, if approved

Prepare to pay more to mail a letter.

The U.S. Postal Service says it plans to raise the price of the Forever stamp.

It will increase by four cents, from 78 cents to 82 cents, if approved by federal regulators.

Postcard prices would also increase.

The postal service says it needs more revenue to offset rising operating costs.

If approved, the new prices will go into effect on Sunday.
