VIDEO: Owner fighting eminent domain in AC

ATLANTIC CITY (WPVI) -- An Atlantic City apartment building owner is fighting to keep his property from being seized under eminent domain.

Charlie Birnbaum owns a three-story walkup near the boardwalk.

The Casino Reinvestment Development authority wants to take control of the building and land to create new projects around the Revel casino.

But Birnbaum claims the CRDA has no actual plans for the land the apartment building occupies.

He and other tenants went to court this afternoon to fight the eminent domain.
